Bluetooth Car Hands-Free Kit

Just curious if anybody is using this for the GNex, or something similar:

I've seen one report that says it works well with the Gnex. Supposedly, you can press it once the phone is paired up and start music playing, then you can 'double press' to skip to the next track. What I'm wondering though is on the Gnex, can you configure it to customize which player comes up when you press to start music (I prefer Slacker), or will it just fire up the stock music player every time?

It's going to call up the music player that is currently listening to Bluetooth commands - typically the last music player used.

For instance, I typically switch between Google Music for my songs, and Doggcatcher for my podcasts. I was playing a podcast last night, so this morning if I just hit "play" on a Bluetooth device, it'll continue the podcast.

If I listen to a song in Google Music, and then fire up a Bluetooth device tomorrow, and hit "play" - it'll continue playing in Google Music.

There are apps that can force Bluetooth to direct to certain apps but I haven't really used any of them so I'm not sure how effective they are - just explaining the normal BT behavior.

I picked up this device and it works great with the stock music player, but not so much with Slacker. You can skip tracks by double tapping the button, but the 'single tap to play/pause' doesn't work with Slacker like it does with the default music player. However, I installed an app called 'Media Button Router' which makes the play/pause functionality work with Slacker, but it still won't autoplay when I get in the car like the stock app does.

Has anybody tried on the Gnex any of the 'headset' apps that lets you customize on bluetooth devices what happens when you tap, double tap, hold, etc?
