Help Bluetooth Car Stereo Problems

Hi there,

I have a newish Toyota Hilux ute with the factory Toyota bluetooth car stereo.

I have paired it up with my Galaxy Ace. The communication between the phone and the stereo is perfect, but....

The audio still comes through the handset, and not the stereo. It switches over from the radio, and displays the in coming call number, but I still have to talk through the handset....

Any ideas?

Is this for calls or music?

If you want it for music, you must pair it as Bluetooth audio. For calls, it must be paired as a Bluetooth Phone.

All I have done is paired it using the bluetooth settings on the phone.

I didn't know there was a different setting for audio or phone? How do I do that?

Check what version of Bluetooth the car stereo is mate. IIRC, it needs 2.0 with ADP to play music. My aftermarket head unit works fine with the Ace.
