hi just got a new samsung s4 mini, problem ive got blue tooth is not compatible
with my blue tooth in my 13 reg van. spoken to van manufacture there can,t update blue tooth in van, can blue tooth on phone be change to a older version
my galaxy s2 worked ok
any help would be appreciated

Newer versions of Bluetooth are backwards-compatible with older versions so there's something else going on. If Bluetooth Auto Connect doesn't work, maybe try going into the van's Bluetooth settings and deleting old pairings. There's a limit on the number of pairings that it can store.

As RazzMaTazz said, it should work. I assume that you've followed the instructions in your car radio manual? If not then do so. I have an old Pioneer radio and that is not intuitive when it comes to pairing a new phone over BT. It also has a 'bug' (hardware problem with the radio's BT) that sometimes means the phone won't connect, but normally disconnecting from the battrey for a few hours sees it 'reset' so I can use it. If deleting all old phones from your radio doesn't work, try disconnecting the battery overnight.

Oh, and there may be a 'reset' button on the radio somewhere - another reason to read the manual ...

when i try to pair my g s4 mini it freezes radio were volume or radio channel or factory built in san nav can not be altered. i have to remove fuse in back of radio.
any more ideas

Have you googled for problems with the BT in your car? There seem to be certain cars that have various problems. One that seems to crop up a lot is the downloading of contacts onto the radio. Either don't do it or download one by one seems to be the usual answer.

Hi Radio is fitted in a vauxhall vivaro sportive van model of radio is cd30 .ive removed radio and its got a Renault sticker on it . Look like version of blue tooth on radio / sat nav does not support bluetooth 4.0

Actually, if you do a google search you get lots of forum threads (not just here but on other forums) that mention the Galaxy S4 and BT problems. It's not to do with BT 4 vs 3 as they should be compatible, V4 just adds more "stuff".

Take a look here though ... Workaround S3 auto bluetooth pair problem - xda-developers ... see if that works. If not, then I'd start by resetting everything, trying again, then using the power of Google (!?!) to see if you can find a solution somewhere.

There are a number of different settings for that app. Make sure you try them, including the ones hidden under "Advanced options."
