Is there any way of playing games via joypad on the htc desire hd. Or does the htc sense still get in the way.

With 2.2 or 2.2.1 forget it. Barely has bt support for headsets.

2.3 (gingerbread) is looking very promising though. I run cm7 on my dhd & it has, so far, worked with every bt device i've thrown at it - stereo headphones, earpiece, keyboards, car kit. Not tried game controllers though.

If you use custom roms try a gb rom & see. If not, wait for official ota gb (soon) & then try.
