Bluetooth headset

I ordered a Gogroove AirBand Wireless Bluetooth stereo headset off Amazon today. I want a bluetooth headset for audio when I watch some of the movies I've converted to watch on my S3. I've had bluetooth ear pieces for calls - but not for listening to audio from movies. While in my stock video player today I found the setting for bluetooth in the video player. It is just as simple as setting the scan mode on the headphones and have the S3 find it and transfer the audio directly to the headphones? Does this pairing automatically mute the sound of the speaker and channel it to the headphones? The headset has a microphone so I'm assuming I can take a call while my movie pauses and talk to the person on the other end - I'm hoping for alot of a $50 over the head head phones that my kids wouldn't be caught dead wearing I'm sure????

While I'm here - I have to plug for DVD Catalyst software for converting DVD movies for the S3. Since purchasing this software for $10, I've converted over 20 full length movies over to mp4 and transfered them over to my 32 gb samsung micro sd card and I must say that the video quality of the S3 and the conversion from this software has been nothing short of spectacular. The email support from DVD Catalyst has also been outstanding. I'm having a ball with it. Everyone that I've shown my movies to on the phone cannot believe the clarity and picture. I'm very satisified with it.

Thanks for any advice.

thanks for the plug jiggs49us,

I wish I could answer your question regarding the headset, but I am sorry to say I have no experience to share in that regard. Aside from a bluetooth keyboard, I only use bluetooth in the car for Pandora/Google Music.

With those apps, if I am listening to music and a call comes in or if I turn off the car, the music pauses, so my guess would be that if you use a bluetooth headset of some sort with video playback, it would work in a similar way.

I received my Go groove air band bluetooth headset today and I love it. Pairing could not be easier with the S3 and the sound is very good for such an inexpensive headset.

Once paired with the S3 - the sound is automatically routed to the headset while watching movies, listening to music or taking a phone call - just like I hoped.

To pair and unpair the phone and headset - just pull the notification down and tap the bluetooth selection at the top of the screen. Couldn't be easier.

Just wanted to pass this along.

I have a bluetooth stereo headset. All you need to do is pair it to the phone and all audio will be redirected to it. Works for calls too (headset should have a built-in mic).
