Bluetooth in Car

I have paired my Samsung Galaxy Ace with my VW Golf Bluetooth and it says connected but it cannot see my contacts or recent calls etc. It says no data to view. Is there a setting on my phone that is stopping this, all my previous phones work in same car.

First off welcome to the forums

Secondly, some bluetooth devices aren't completely compatible with Android devices. You might want to look up what frequencies and what not that this VW Golf Bluetooth runs on to see if it is completely compatible with your device.
