Bluetooth Issue

My Samsung Skyrocket Model SGH-I727 running Android 2.3.6 will not maintain a connection with my car's BlueTooth system. Also, when it is paired it continually does a 'Phonebook Search' about every 10 seconds, which is very annoying. I had replaced an iPhone3G with this Samsung and now I wish I hadn't, since the iPhone worked flawlessly.
Any ideas as how to fix this?

Welcome to AndroidForums! In my opinion android is a lot better than Iphone and any other apple products even though android tends to have bugs(mess ups) at times; you just need to know how to fix it.
