First id like to say im happy to be here...left apple and am amazed with android and the s3.
Here is my situation.
Samsung s3 - ice cream - bmw bluetooth (basic, not idrive)
the iphone 4s would send SIRI through the car speakers after I pressed and held the home button.
my s3 is connected bluetooth and makes calls, however it does not send voice from s-voice or maps through the speakers.
by my logic, its a software issue on the phone. I have scoured the settings and have not found any pertinent info.
i know the bmw is super basic old bluetooth, no music streaming...however if the iphone 4s would natively send siri's voice over the car speakers, there must be a relatively simple way to do so on the android. I doubt its a2dp or whatever its called, as the bmw doesnt natively accept that from what i read. SO what signal was siri sending???? now i couldnt control her buttons with the steering wheel or anything, but still...basic voice over speakers would rock.
if i figure that out, im sure the maps would send over too.
