Help Bluetooth mouse on Pixel

I have a Microsoft Arc bluetooth mouse. I can pair it with my Pixel, and the Pixel sees it as an input device, but the settings bring me to the keyboard configuration page. I think the Pixel is mistakenly trying to use it as a keyboard instead of a mouse. Is there a way to tell the Pixel to use it as a mouse or would that require a special driver in Android?

I think I last used a Bluetooth mouse with my t-mobile G1. I seem to recall it already had a trackball with mouse icons so a Bluetooth mouse would've been compatible. Androud removed that kind of stuff next iteration IIRC Sad...
Trackballs are cool!
