Help Bluetooth music intermittently cuts out

Also if you have a problem when using wired headphones and you still get skips, Uninstall any battery doctor type apps. They caused my music to skip so much I almost went crazy

I had the exact same problem (music stuttering when playing from sd) and found the cause. I have an 128gb sd card and made the mistake of formatting it with my phone. The phone formats as fat32. That doesn't play well with 100gb music apparently. The only music player I found that worked is foobar2000. Now, I reformatted the sd card with pc to exfat, and my music plays flawless with every music player now.

If anyone is still having issues with this I have just resolved mine. For me the dropouts began after installing Sony's song pal app. I had tried everything from uninstalling all audio apps and repairing Bluetooth devices. What worked for me in the end was to go in to settings find the apps Bluetooth and Bluetooth share and clear cache for both of them. As soon as I did this all dropouts had stopped.

Hope this helps someone

Hi everyone,

Several years later and this is still an ongoing issue lol... well I found a solution on Reddit that actually worked out for me. I read that it only worked for someone else three songs in, but so far it's working for me quite well:

I had the same problem and I contacted Samsung. They gave me instructions which fixed my issue. Try this! 1. Turn your device off. 2. Press and hold the volume up key and the home key, THEN press and hold the power key (so you end up holding all 3 keys) 3. When the device vibrates release the Power key ONLY 4. When you get to the Android Device Recovery Menu you can release the other two keys. 5. Use Volume keys to navigate to "Wipe cache partition" and use power key to select it. 6. Use the Volume keys to navigate to "Reboot system now" and use power key to select it.
The device will reboot and all should be well from there on out. Mine was!!!!

Hope this helps anyone else that comes across this post :)

i found the sms sync to be culprit in this situation and in my tegra note 7 i found deep sleep to be the culprit , i have made a short video on how i fixed skipping issue on my car audio system

I have finally solved this irritating problem. My new Bose headphones cut out every 20 seconds or so. I solved this by disabling two apps which were both using Bluetooth ... One was veryfitpro a Fitbit type app. The other was a key finder app.
