Help Bluetooth, Nope!

I cannot make my Win7x64 HP500 computer see my LG G6 phone. The phone connects fine to our car, and the HP500 connects fine to it's BT keyboard, so I know both are working properly with other devices. If I select "show bluetooth devices" on the HP, the phone is there but with a yellow exclamation mark. When troubleshooting, it tries to load drivers, but never finds any. Anyone seen this before? I used to be pretty good at fixing this cr@p, but not so much anymore...

Well, from what I'm reading it's pretty much unfixable. :( Lots of other phone/mobile users unable to "load drivers" and obtain functionality with a Windows computer. It does "pair", just remains a useless lump. I'm quickly reforming my opinion on technology...

PCs have Bluetooth now?
I'm way behind the times.

My (HP500b) mini-tower music server uses an external BT dongle, the BT keyboard works fine. The phone will pair, but isn't recognized. I'm "supposed" to have BT on my Acer laptop. It seems to all be there, but nothing will connect/pair on it. Given my model/serial numbers, Acer can't even tell me if it actually has a BT radio in it. Not quite ready for prime-time...

Maybe you can try updating your bluetooth drivers? Or even connecting your phone through usb amd loading its drivers.
This should allow to pop upwithout the yellow triangle.
Most of the time it meams it is missing drivers needed to run such device.

FWIW I can connect my MacBook Air laptop to Android phones no problem by Bluetooth, for file browsing/transfers and tethering. And didn't need to install any extra drivers at all. I don't usually use Windows myself, so never tried it.
Is your PC looking for a specific LG driver for the LG G6 phone?

Glad to hear it works! My next laptop will be Win10, which I hate enough I will be running my current Win7 "computer" in a VM over the factory install. So hopefully all the peripherals will be working...

If anyone else has this problem, look for "BlueTooth 4.0 Suite". I also had to completely uninstall my ZomeAlarm firewall before installing this package and my WiFi card driver. Reinstall ZA afterwards and it all works...
