Help Bluetooth one xl to iPad, can it be done?

New htc one xl user and I want to transfer some pics from my phone to my iPad. I bought an iPad USB adaptor and tried to connect my phone but message on iPad says this cant be done because the device uses to much power. Seems strange but I thought ok Ill do it via Bluetooth. Went through the usual steps to pair the two devices only to get the message this cant be done either because the iPad doesn't recognise the phones bluetooth. Is this correct or am I doing something wrong? Any advice on how to get this to work or the best way to get pics from my phone to my iPad much appreciated.

No experience of the iPad, sorry.

Does the iPad have a Dropbox app? Can you upload your pictures to dropbox using the One X's in built app, and the download on the iPad?

It's a bit long winded, hopefully someone else will have an easier solution though.
