bluetooth problems

Hi I have had the phone 1 day and losing interest rapidly. My old nokia connected immediately to my bluetooth laptop and car unit [Kenwood KCA-BT300] but the Defy lives up to its name and defies me at every turn to connect. It says it is paired even though in the car it doesnt ask for a pin number and says it is downloading the contacts list but fails to do both. As for the laptop it asks for pin which i give it and says it is connecting but doesnt. Is there a further setting that needs to be on or off to make this phone less Defiant? Thanks

Have you tried clearing the other pairings from the headunit and laptop? I had to delete the other 3 phones from my AVIC HU before the Defy would pair correctly.

Thanks the laptop connection is weird it says paired but no connection but it does connect. The car head unit is another story, it doesnt need to pair as it does it automatically, weird, i have tried using bluetooth file transfer to move the contacts to the unit but it only gives me some of the entries and not all of them. Not sure how to transfer the whole contacts list any ideas?
