Help Bluetooth Problems

So I haven't used my phones Bluetooth for a while now. And now I'd like to use it for tethering.

Here's the problem: whenever I turn on my blueooth, it'll take a few seconds to fully turn on, and then after it had turned on, it will immediately turn itself off. Anyone know how to fix this?

My android version is 4.2.2 and I'm (obviously) using the Samsung Galaxy S3 (Sprint)

Okay if you guys need more information about my phone, that's literally it. I turn on Bluetooth, and it immediately turns itself off. I know for a fact that it has worked because I've used it a while ago.

There's got to be at least someone who knows how I can fix this

I know this isn't a good solution but since no one else has chimed in I figured I would throw it out there. But have you tried a factory reset? Maybe there is an app conflicted with it? Otherwise sorry I don't know and it looks like maybe no one else does either. :(

Yeah I've been trying to avoid doing a factory reset because it's always a hassle saving my data and then putting it back on. But ill look into it more and I'll probably just end up doing that lol. Thanks anyways for the response though
