bluetooth rider headset help

Hi all,

Just switched from a BlackBerry to the Mesmorize. I have two problems I could use some guidance on please. Note: I did do a search here first before asking.

1. I ride motorcycles a lot and have a bluetooth comm unit on my helmet (Scala Rider Q2). When I connected it, I can make and receive a phone call, and the person on the other phone can hear me talking, but I cannot hear them. I have an idea about the problem from other forum searches but wanted to see if anyone here had some advice.

2. I use both Exchange and PoP3 email accounts simultaneously. I understand "Touchdown" from Nitrodesk is the favored app for most; anyone have any better ideas on how I can solve the issue of the stock mail app not working for me?

1. If you have checked on other forums for answers, were there other riders complaining of issues with iPhone 4 and Android? There are compatibility issues for many BT devices for Android 2.2+ and iOS 4.2+. My vehicle's BT connectivity has issues with 2.2, but not with 2.1.

2. Not sure about "touchdown" being the app of choice. Most people that use anything other than the stock app appear to use K9. K9 works well with POP3 and exchange.

What I'm seeing is a complaint about "A2DT", if I remember it correctly. Don't specifically remember folks complaining about their iPhones not working with this particular headset comm system but that's not to say they weren't.

I am not a cell phone tech guy at all so figuring this out is a bit of a learning curve. Will check out K9 for now...

i've had issues with my Scala and my Acclaim, they'd never connect. I have had my Scala and Mesmerize connect but thinking about it I got used to leaving the bluetooth so I've never tried a call.

My friend has the G4 setup now and he has no issues with his Acclaim and the G4. So i'm guessing it maybe something on our older Q2 setups.
