Bluetooth to PC issues.

I'm trying to connect my HTC Evo Shift to my PC via bluetooth. I'm running Windows 7 Home Premium. When I make my phone visable, the computer finds it but when I try to connect, I end up with an error message. Any suggestions? If there is already a thread about this could you please redirect? Thanks.
