Help Bluetooth volume sync

Hi guys.

So I have a new Bluetooth speaker. When an iphone is connected to it adjusting the volume on the Bluetooth speaker turns down the phone volume and vise versa.

However, with my Android (galaxy S6) the speaker volume must be adjusted separately to the phone volume.

Any help would be greatly appreciated as it would be far more convenient to control volume in the former manner!

Well, I wish I had an answer/solution.. unfortunately I have the same problem.
I must add that besides Android, this same thing happens with my laptop with a Windows OS..
At home, there is a bit of everything (Windows 10, OSX, iOS, Android, Windows 10 Mobile) and only the Apple devices sync the volume as you describe...

Could be nothing more than just the bluetooth speaker you bought not fully optimized with Android, especially since each Android manufacturer makes changes to their phone firmware which the speaker manufacturer may not have taken into account.

I have the JBL Flip and the Coocheer Portable Powerful Sound Upgraded NFC Wireless Bluetooth Speaker and they both work that way. I never realized Apple did it differently. Personally of the two systems I prefer the Android way which can let me have full volume pushed by the phone but not the speaker or vice versa. I'm pretty sure you limit sound distortion when you have that much precise control.
