Help bluetooth volume

Lurker
I just bought a samsung hm1100 bluetooth headset to use with my phone while driving but it is way too quiet, I have the volume maxxed.

Is there any way I can make it louder or do i need to buy a different device?

I'm not sure about your particular BT device. I use the BT audio on my car. What I found is that the volume control on my car stereo acts independently to the volume control on my phone. I have to set the BT volume on my phone to max and then adjust the volume accordingly on my car's stereo.

If your BT headset has its own volume control that is independent of the phone, wait for your BT to connect and are on a call. Then adjust the volume level on your phone. As you adjust the volume level on your phone, you will notice the volume indicator for BlueTooth will appear. Max that out. Then see if you can also adjust the volume level on your headset and see if it is now at a loud enough volume.

The volume controls are linked together, So either one i adjust it effects them both....I'm curious if there is any way to overide the max volume so I can get it to be louder because the max setting isn't loud enough.

Or maybe i need to get a better device *shrug*

If all else fails, buy a "SoundID" headset. They are known for being the loudest. Even the hearing impared folks go for these. I have one and love it.

While in the phone dialer app hit the menu soft key and choose Settings. Scroll down and check Use extra vol. for calls.
