Help Bluetooth won't recognize device

Ambientz

Hi

I just bought a Cubot smartphone. It’s a lesser known and inexpensive phone from China. It is 3G, Android 6.0 and has Bluetooth 4.0. My wireless speaker is a Sony SRSX11 with Bluetooth 3.0. I cannot connect my phone to the speaker. I’d be grateful if anyone has any suggestions.

Thank you

I think that should work, it's only a Bluetooth speaker using the A2DP streaming stereo HQ audio profile, 3.0 vs 4.0 shouldn't matter. Does the cheapo Cubot China phone work with any other BT devices, like wireless headsets/headphones or other wireless speakers or BT car audio systems. And does the Sony SRX speaker work with other phones, tablets, laptops, etc. Basically try some elimination.

Make sure that your device(smartphone) is not busy searching for other Bluetooth devices while you try to connect with it. Wait for it to finish the search, or stop it before you attempt to connect with it. I have noticed this behaviour with some of my devices, they don't connect while searching......

Thanks for your replies guys. Fortunately I was able to fix it by simply downloading an app designed to fix bluetooth connection problems.
