Just checked both US and UK sites. No Android anything - never mind scrabble!
Why develop such a great game then not make it available?![]()
On my N1, 4 games show up:
Monopoly, Spore, Tetris and The Sims 3, all

I WOULD HAVE PAID if I could have found a legit source for it. Why EA have not made it available (in the UK anyway) is anyone's guess. It does exist and it's gorgeous. Google for it and you will find it - I got my copy from Rapidshare.
I played Scrobble on WinMo and this would deserve to do well on Android. However Scrobble did need a stylus to be played as it does not zoom the board in the way that the elusive official EA version does.

You know that when you're placing a letter down, there's a green mark on the tile where the letter goes right?
Also, I'd personally reverse the scores. Never had any difficulty beating the computer on hard. I'm guessing the board looks differently to avoid possible lawsuits etc.
Oh, and we're also going to be releasing stat tracking, so every player will have a stats page (win/loss record, best words, etc.). Eventually we'll also have a ranking system so you can find people to play who are around the same skill level as you, or challenge people higher ranked to move up in the rankings, but we're not quite there yet. In the meantime, all those stats are saved in the system, we just need to make them presentable. (So yeah, statnut, you currently have the #1 word, "traveled" for 176 points...can't see that being broken anytime real soon.)

Personally, I find playing Scrabble with an American dictionary is ultimately *very* frustrating. If you want to try it, you'll find it here:
Yeah, it sure looks colorful, and the gameplay is just, like, todally awesome, oh, you know what I mean

I've got an older version of a scrabble knock-off that runs on Palm Phones and has an 80,000 word dictionary. So, the memory requirements are not that daunting.
Making a shell that runs Palm apps would really explode the software library for android.
The people who own Scrabble are stupid. The longer they refuse to release a legit app, the more likely people will just pirate one. These intellectual content companies NEVER learn from history.
- but I can get over that since it has a nice UI and it works well.
