Bolt just did a restart - post gb update

Anyone have this happen to them after the gb update? Was in a low signal area, loading a web page and in applications when it happened. Never happened with the last update.

Have you ever had the restart happen besides this one time since you've owned your phone? If not, I wouldn't worry about it and let well enough be. As it goes, there's already a chance that you'll be once again, receiving yet ANOTHER update to this phone since from what I understand, they've pulled the latest update.

If it continues to happen, the best thing I can say is that the radio (if you don't understand what I'm talking about, please take ten minutes out of your life and educate yourself, here: http://androidforums.com/thunderbolt-all-things-root/353591-how-some-root-terminology.html) most likely has something to do with it. For whatever reason (it really is a mystery, even to HTC, to this date) some radios have different reactions to different phones, even though they're the exact same model. Your phone had a different radio installed once the newest update for the phone came out and it might not be reacting positively to it.
 
You had one reboot right? I wouldn't complain about that, at least its not happening multiple times per day

Thanks, same here, gonna try and keep an eye on it, not complaining or worried about it now, unless it starts happening all the time. Just wanted to see if anybody else had it happen.

Yes I understand what radios are, no I'm not going to root. Yes I've had the reboot problem with the update that caused it.
 
Sorry you are getting reboots, I wouldn't worry too much about it unless it starts happening more often. If it does then I would advise you to call VZW to try to get a new phone, there is no telling when the next update will be or if it will address your issues since I do not think many people are having reboot issues because of the GB update.
 
Crap. As of last week I have had several reboots, and to make things worse.... The phone is constantly freezing on me. I can't even turn the phone on or off. I have to take the battery out and put it back in. Wtf??
 
yep. starting with the reboots again. HOORAY!!!! not.

at least they're not as bad as they were last time, when my phone would restart every 3-8 minutes. these are more sporadic, maybe once a day.

Any thoughts on the whole freezing issue??
 
My Bolt doesn't reboot.

My wife's does, and still did after they fixed the problem on Froyo. Granted it rebooted a LOT less often, it went from 4-5 reboots a day to 1 reboot every 3-4 days.

Now on GB her phone reboots 1 time every week or so. That's fine. Mine doesn't reboot at all and never suffered from the constant rebooting unless I was traveling in and out of 4G constantly.
