Root (Boost) 2.3.6 Update w/Bobzhome Kernel

Here is a CWM backup of the 2.3.6 update with Bobzhome's kernel. I also took out some the bloatware already & replaced the stock launcher with Xperia.

5/25/12 Update
This is based on katracho's 2.3.6 update. It still has Bobzhome's OC kernel. Xperia was ported by ra3al at XDA. V6 & 3G Supercharger from Zeppelinrox at XDA is included. I also installed the latest Busybox. I also added the CRT effect. No real cosmetic tweaks. Just tried to make it lean & snappy. Feedback is always welcome. :D

the reason i was asking because my lady has a TU with CWM no root and would i like to update without as much bs as possible and the reason she has no root because dont even know what it is lmao i even though i explained it to her haha.

Why does she have CWM if she doesn't have root? Just flash stock recovery and let it update normally.

i put CWM on it for testing(before i put it on mine lol),her phone isnt activated(its like the day we bought it =no way to update)so i use it to mess around with and she does play games on it still but the screen is an issue sometimes and she plays on my phone and sees that my screen works lol thats why she wants me to just update the phone if i can for her.
 
I'm on boost and can't install this with CWM. Am I missing something? It's on the SD's root and I see it and tell it to install, but it always says Installation Aborted. ???

Any clue or reason why?

I'm not sure. I tested it before I uploaded & everything worked. Did you try doing a factory data reset in CWM, then clear the Cache Partition. Then restore the back up. The clear the Dalvick & fix permissions.
 
its done it twice, says unsupported compression when unzipping on the XP PC. Unzipped fine on the phone but didn't work. ??
 
Everything work for me just that the baseband didnt change to fc29 and its a force close at settings/ about phone/ status, u should work on that but after u clear the cache, dalvik and the rest of the stuff.....reboot back into recovery and then restore the phone, it will work for some reason it wont work the first time but after u do that it works.....

yeah i was surprised, well i used the winrar and it worked. when ZArchiver extracted it, it put it in 2 folders, which could have been the missmatch.

As is working so far, the Bobz kernel fixes the screen, and CIQ is gone, so just now need to get the baseband updated somehow. :) Thanks guys. :thumbup:

EDIT: Love the Theme BTW! Awesome. :)

Oh please do! :) I would like to see if it improves any. Some say it does go back and forth as much.

Is there a way to back up the current baseband incase its worse?
