Boost Account Balance

I have the next 4 months covered on my Boost account because of a high balance.

I have a couple of questions about the account balance:
1) Does it expire if I do not add any money for a period of time?
2) Can I use it to buy a phone from boost?

I would call Boost to make sure. Even as a Boost retail worker I'm not sure on that first part.

I called and the phone rep told me that as long there is activity in the account (i.e. the phone is being used) that the balance will not expire. I have also emailed them so I will get something in writing.

EDIT: They called me in response to my email, they said that my balance will not expire.

On monthly plans as long as the phone is active the money on the account will not expire if you discontinue payments for 60 days your number will be lost and if you have money on the account it will go away/expire. On pay as you go plans money will expire 90 days from the recharge date.
