Root Boost APN fix?

I'm using omnirom, can't get MMS. Googled and found a thread on xda:

That didn't work. Can anyone give me a possible second option?

Try a different messaging app besides the stock? Textra is working for me.

I'm using textra as well but it won't send or receive MMS still.
