Help Boost LG Marquee text messaging not working

As of 2 days ago I cant get my stock messaging application to work. Everytime I try to get into my text messaging it'll go into it for about 5 seconds then close. I'm not sure how to fix this. Any help would be much appreciated, I really dont want to have to completely reset my phone if possible, tho of course I will if that's the only way .

What rom are you running? Did you install or change anything before it started happening? Are you getting force close messages?
