Root Boost LG Volt I rooted mine without any problems.

I discovered that trying to root any device that had the Kit-Kat OS was a bit more of a challenge to root. I used the program called towelroot and this worked the first time I used it. I have had no problems and I installed Super SU as my superuser app.

Since. My phone installed update version 4 my phone is still rooted but SuperSU doesn't work anymore. I think that the programmer's who worked on the update somehow sabotaged SuperSU. So so apps which require root access still work and others that try to gain root permissions don't work.

Towelroot is blocked in zv4. If you have cwm installed, you can install SuperSU through that. There is a slim chance that towelroot might work since you were already rooted. If not, you'll have to go back to zv3 and start over. Use my guide, which I've seen than you've found.
