Boost Max New 5+inch screen Jan 2014

Wuts up fellow Phandroids!! Anybody have any info on the upcoming Boost Max phone?
So far this is what I have found out:
It has a 5 inch or bigger screen
Most likely made by ZTE
It's called the Boost Max
It will retail at $299
A picture of it can be seen on the new Boost Mobile flyers/ads that start on Jan. 27 2013, I work for Boost so I saw glimpse of the giant, couldn't snap a picture tho :(
The flyers/ads it will appear on, are advertising a first free month and $30 off select phones including this one!!!

That's all I know, since it appears on the flyer/ad that is going to start circulating next week, then it's release should also be sometime this month.

This sounds like the Virgin Mobile Supreme that was released a few months back. It has a 5'' screen made by ZTE as well, looks like it is getting re-branded to the "Max" for Boost.

I was able to snap a picture of it now. Unfortunately picture doesn't show much of the sides so I can't tell if it's just a re-branding of the Virgin Mobile Supreme, I hope it's not because I don't like navy blue :P

Yeah this thing is absolutely massive. 5.7 inch screen.

Lets just hope that ZTE can step up their game with software, that's their biggest problem with making a name for themselves in NA.

Being burned from the warp and sequent I doubt I'll even think about this thing. The sequent was a nice re-try but sadly failed miserably. Really left a sour taste in my mouth. It would take some serious major revamp to get me back, especially after coming from the s2 and now currently s3.

I was talking to the owner of a Boost Store a few weeks ago on Reddit who just stopped keeping Sequents on regular stock. He would sell 5 or so a week and 3 of them would come back with issues. Everything from LCD not working, to camera not working, to odd glitches.

Yeah, mine was horrible. Slightly smoother and faster still had the sluggish and choppy feeling to it. It was touted as a nice upgrade but it was more of a slight increase. Was more like an overclocked warp but still with the same ui/os issues as before.
On paper the thing looked really nice, just goes to prove what may be good on paper may not always fly in real life experience. That's exactly why I go off of real people reviews as compared to authority sites, the people get the actual hands on and aren't influenced at all by big brother.

We might as well accept the truth:

Sprint only allows us (Boost) to have failures or old stock. I have been looking at other PPD carriers as a result.

edit: I would also like to ad that the Max doesn't seem to use the real estate efficiently. Lot of wasted space.

that is seriously what turned me off..that and the resolution is crappy for such a large screen

That's typical of zte. I'm in no way impressed with that company. From the two phones I had, they are batting zero with me. I've kinda messed with a few others and have yet to find a good phone from them.

Apparently low-res is supposed to conserve battery life? I'm sure people will flock to it, since it's so inexpensive compared to the Note devices.

720 is hi-res, and most people would not be able to discern the difference between 720 and 1080 on a phone.

As someone with a 1080p phone, comparing it to Boost version of the S3, F7, and Moto G..can confirm.

I watched several videos that are 1080p on the 720p phones, then watched on my phone which is 1080p. Couldn't see a huge difference.

I think the resolution is fine, I just don't have that kind of money to spend at the moment.
