Root [Boost Mobile] allshare casr dongle on hdtv without wifi?

Hello .i just recieved my allshare cast dongle from ebay but cant seem to get connected with my hdtv. I dont have a smart tv (no wifi) and thinking maybee thats the problem. It didnt come with a manual so was hoping someone here has more experience and can help me get setup. my rom is barebones 4.3 rooted with dkp kernel, not sure if it has anythiing to do with it ,, help please :)
 
Well I've tried mar rom and stock bare bones and still can't connect. .anyone can suggest a rom that screen mirroring will work? I already have Knox and void warranty can that be the problem?
 
I would love to help but I don't have the knowledge needed. Moar does have a toggle to screen mirror, and I have tried to get it to connect with my smart tv. But no go for me... I looked it up and read it only works with supporting Samsung tvs. ..
But you have the sharecast dongle thing-a-magig, hopefully you can get it to work.

Just wanted to get you some type of reply, usually around here most replies are quick but when there is no one that knows the answer will be left alone for someone that does know.

Give it some time, someone that doesn't check the forums every day will stop in and might know the answer.

I would suggest to search for the manual for the sharecast thingy.
 
okay i got it working. and i recommend this thing to anyone whos thinking of doing screen mirroring .best 45 bucks i ever spent.. so , the problem was i guess u need a fresh install ,stock rom, a patched lib file u can find here on xda somewhere..and triangle away if u are rooted. also i cant get it working with a custom kernel.. so there it is ,, hope it helps someone oneday cuz took me aalmost a week to get it working. good luck .
