so recently, i hit up boostmobiles, special deal on the sg s3, for $100, get the phone and a flip cover.

But as im reading up on it, it seems this version is a bit tricky...

with my other phones, S2,prevail..it was time consuming, but it worked.

As of now, ive installed philz recovery, using stock recovery didnt stick, so i had to use odin, which worked on the first try.

So i thought, ok, lets try a rom..i chose AICP, http://dwnld.aicp-rom.com/?device=d2lte

like always, backed up my stock rom and, cleared cache..reset phone ..etc getting it ready for a new rom.

in about 20secs it was done, i thought..that was fast...it saud press back to reboot

so i pressed back a couple times, saw the reboot system, so i did...

i saw the SAMSUNG logo for 1 sec and it disappeared and phone went off..

Then i just saw the baseband information, but..mine is NF4

cant find anything about the right one to use odin with.

Thats where i need some help..

ive installed the recovery..

now i want to install a rom..

but it seems i need a new baseband..

phone specs:
KK 4.4.2 (like my olds 442 (455):D)

I'm wanting to say, following the title, and the NF4 baseband, you have on your hands, a triband (T) model. I have a thread in this forum for this phone.

Look on samobile for the firmware of that model, it should include the baseband, get it and flash with Odin, and I suggest making sure you do a lot of research on your new phone before flashing new Roms to prevent a hard brick, and never hurts to find out if they have an SD unbrick image for it too

i pulled the stock tar file from kies for this model in question!!!! its posted HERE!!!!!

Yes indeed. You definitely need to be careful with the T model. I highly recommend reading the tri band threads here in the Boost section. They are filled with a wealth of information that will help you keep from bricking your brand new phone.

I just want the stock img for recovery since I'll be returning this t version and either get a better one, preferably other than white.....or just cash in and get s5 with the supcase...

I got 3 of these, nf4 editions...all, don't have working 4g or lte..with spotty 3g

What a bust...

does anyone know where i can get a STOCK recovery img, so no questions asked when i return it.
Unless, philz recovery, has a built in undo button :D
thanks

update: i think i found it..

Flashing that in odin will revert the phone to stock, basically as if you had just taken it out of the box.

We really, really need a separate forum for this phone so we can post this stuff in it. I wonder when someone will approve/deny my request.

I really doubt they'll boot into recovery when you return it. I've returned 3 phones so far in my life, and they never even turned them on to check them. This was at Best Buy.
