If you have to change the extension from .md5 to .tar as well and it's not just something with how dcutz was doing it, let me know so I can reupload it. Even if it appears to work, if you get an error while loading it to odin (I didn't) something is slightly off with the file.
 
the file is fine, since i successfully got through everything.. the only problem is... the file when downloaded has (.tar.md5) and when i put it in odin like that i get the md5 error.. i just removed the .md5 and i was all good to go.

Yeah, but the MD5 is there for a reason. If there's an issue with the MD5 check, that means the file isn't 100% the same as it was when the MD5 was generated, even if it's 99.99% the same and something that doesn't present itself at first.
... and if there's an issue with the MD5 check for not just you, then that means it's the file and not something you did wrong.

I'm only concerned because the file I have on my flash drive here loaded into odin for me just fine without any errors.

I just did some testing, and apparently having "(SPH-L710T Stock Image)" in the name is the problem... file has been renamed and fixed.

that stock file i uploaded will work for the "T" model and it includes SPRINT/BOOST/VM wich as far as i know are the only ones with the "T" model ........and the tar file will install the correct apn settings.....and also the tar file is the STOCK FIRMWARE for that model

Flashing that in odin will revert the phone to stock, basically as if you had just taken it out of the box.

We really, really need a separate forum for this phone so we can post this stuff in it. I wonder when someone will approve/deny my request.

i have started a cha session with the mods to get this stickied and cleaned up some
waiting on a reply

Well, ideally, we'd get this cleaned up and stickied in our own subforum to make it less confusing since there are Sprint, VM, and Boost versions of the L710T. Having it all under the Boost subforum wouldn't make a ton of sense.

i agree...... but that tar file will work on all three of those phones... boost/sprint/vm
i was looking and to the best of my knowledge the "T" model is only for them three phones and the modem for them three phones are the same also...(correct me if im wrong... )
i know i used it on the wifes phone wich is VM mine is boost

Yeah all three phones are completely identical, save for APN settings and bloatware. (isn't that stuff downloaded after you first turn it on anyway?)
 
If I was your pull recovery.IMG from stock so we can use cwm or twrp for our model by the way conquest and kernel works I'm on it
