Boost Mobile Cards

Hi All,
Just wanted to know how do the majority of the members pay for their phones. I know a lot of us are using the Russian website but i wanted a backup just in case it goes away. My backups were boost mobile stores that had an online presence but they have been closed. My goal is to buy the card online so as to not pay the taxes my state puts on cell phones. If i pay over the phone i pay state sales tax, if i pay on the BM website i then get hit with the 19% tax. If the Russian site becomes unavailable what do you do to pay your phone? Thanks

I haven't used them before, but I am in the same boat as you, and reading up on alternatives.
 
I think some use Ebay as well. I haven't needed to search yet but you're right. Need a backup.
 
I very briefly browsed refills on eBay. Looks like discounts are slim, if any. Also, sellers want your info so they can load your account...not sure what to think about that.

At this point i would be happy to pay face value. The idea is not to pay the taxes which is a good enough discount, imho. With the stores closing we basically have to pay boost directly (and pay full state and fed taxes) or buy the cards at a brick and mortar store and frankly there are not many that carry them anymore (and pay state sales tax). The thing that is funny, by Sprint (or New Sprint...don't know which one), by closing all of the boost store they may have actually hurt boost. For me, paying via the boost site is $90 a month for a $65 plan. I just will not do it. So it looks like all we have is the Russian site and the one that Trim81 posted but they charge a "convenience fee". Which is still cheaper...
 
I've reboosted at the gas station by my work a few times. They ask for my phone number then swipe the card I want to buy in some machine.. and then a few minutes later I get a text saying i reboosted. No tax just the cost of the card.

I'm lazy though, and usually pay the $3.65 in tax that I get charged through the Boost web page. But if that tax goes up much more I'm going to stop doing it that way.
 
9.25% sales tax where I live so face value would be ok with me too...especially when I get down to $40. Just one more $50 payment for me.
 
I'm not with Boost anymore but I used to buy my cards at 711. They didn't charge tax and the cards were re-loadable.
