Edit :

I believe the issue is with some security feature, see this thread

I think that staying in CWM for too long may cause problems

I am looking into this

But I think it may be because the screen brightnesss is set to 255

and if you stay in there too long maybe it is causing a problem with the back light

I am looking into this and will post my results

In the mean time do not spend too much time in CWM

Latest can had some lagging on restoring a backup. Got a little scary for a bit. Acted like it froze up towards the end of /data and sat for 2 mins on /.android secure. Still no data restore

i have tested data restore and seems to work

i added a contact and installed one apps

made a backup

wiped

restored

and everything was there

how are you testing this ?

I did an FTM mode Online update and that seemed to fix the LED issue

so maybe CWM is overwriting something when it is flashed or something

I will look into this and report back

Not here. CWM made the back up and when restoring it shows like it restoring all data and apps, but when the phone starts up, no apps or data has being restore.

Testing with an older backup, mind you I have 105 apps. Data takes a long time to restore.
I don't know if this will help, but back when Sebastian was trying to get cwm working they were having issues with it freezing up, Sebastian never finished but the info is here

There isn't a limit to a backup on the data partition is there?

Is it possible it restores the data partition correctly and doesn't restore the symlinks? I'm gonna do another backup, then restore, then check out what's in the data partition

I am removing a lot of the stuff I have released in the last few days untill I can verify some stuff

Ya confirmed that even though it says its restoring data' none of the apks are in /data/apps

OK I am seeing some wrong information in the Board config

I should have verified this stuff, but I thought quitestorm did

I will be putting out a new version once i build and test it

So you saying that the CWM is configured wrong?

No, there is something in the kernel or somewhere in the boot loader that detects some kind of issue and wipes the data partition, but it is fine if you used titanium backup, you can just restore that way
