Root [Boost Mobile] Extended Power Menu

MyndCTRL

Well-Known Member
Hey devs, I need a little help with this power menu. I'm using this tut over at xda [HOW TO] Extended Power Menu with no header (reboot / download / recovery) and I must of followed it a couple dozen times (no exaggeration either) and I cant seem to get it working. What happens now is when I hold the power button to activate the menu the phone will vibrate and no menu will show. However the last second of my boot animation will pop up and the locker screen will appear. What am I doing wrong? Am I editing the right files? I only edited framework-res.apk and android.policy.jar. I read a few places that you need to edit framework.jar too, but I dont know if that was for the warp or not.

Edit: Solved my problem. I now have an active working extended power menu!
Edit: Well the options are there, but when I click on them it just goes back to the boot animation....this is weird

The guide you are using tells you to use global actions 4 because that houses the power off settings....with our phone that file is global actions 3. many minor changes as well, I recommend using another guide unless you know your stuff well enough to use this guide

I don't really follow it word for word, I use it as almost a guide to point me in the right direction. I use the code when I need to but I also realize that the said code will be found in different spots of different files. I just about have it done, and I compared my work with that of a few other rom and it seems to be just about the same but im getting different results. I was gonna ask the devs here how they went about putting their extended power menu in, which guide did they follow (if any) I could be totally off, but I could also be on the right track here

When I did mine I used a different guide it was for a Samsung rom but it's basically the same just delete the download stuff. Look for other guides. I can't find it
