Is Franco or however you spell it kernel compatible with our s3? I don't see it in our kernel thread and last time I flashed a Rom outside of the thread I hard bricked my phone and I don't want to do that again.

Nope. It isn't available for our phone. At least not that I've seen. I found a Franco build for the S3 but it wasn't for our model. It was for the international version. Just about everything I've seen for the international version will brick our phones if flashed.
Another thing to keep in mind is that you have TouchWiz kernels and AOSP kernels. Do not flash an AOSP kernel if you're running a TouchWiz ROM and vice versa.
