Root [Boost Mobile] Galaxy 3 Quesions for Root and Tethering

Sure it does. The stock Sprint ROM.

It's the ND8 fix. Has one for odexed and deodexed too.

So if I am reading this correctly after I upgraded my phone to 4.42 If I flashed the ND8 to my phone it would have worked for Hotspot? I am happy with my current Conquest setup and happy with that just trying to understand the post. Which lead to another question if it true. Is boost keeping phone from be able to run a hotspot without modifications to the phone like using sprint modem.

Here's the Hotspot fix the will unlock the hotspot in Wicked-X. Just flash this and you'll be good 2 go. :)

Thanks, Biker. I was in a hurry this morning and this did not work the first time.

When I came home tonight it connected to my Prevail and my Tablet. I did hide it and manually added it on the devices, which is what the WiFi AP screen says, but I don't know if that is necessary. I didn't do that this morning, but it was probably something else.

Also, I am on NDC bootloader and modem which was something I was concerned about since this is from ND8 and I think that their are some slight differences.

You don't even need the Sprint NDC modem. All you need is the Sprint ROM because it has the hotspot built in. You then need the mod that unlocks the hotspot. Stock Boost does not have a hotspot in the S3.

Conquest is basically a AOSP theamed ND8 ROM. And it uses the ND8 sprint wifi tether. (Moonknightus, please correct me it I'm wrong about this)

So will my internet on my phone stillstill slow down after 3 giggs when I tether on my rooted s 3?
Yes. Throttling is done at the carrier end. Some have found things to thwart this, at least temporarily, but I am not certain that they work. That is not one of the benefits of rooting.
