Root [Boost Mobile] Getting rid of Super User so I can re-root?

iCholey

Lurker
About two months ago, I bought my ZTE, and shortly after, rooted it. At the time of the root, my phone hadn't been updated to b08c. A few weeks later,my phone prompted me to do the system update, which I allowed, and it now says my phone is no longer rooted. I still have SU on my phone, but things such as Barnacle, etc. let me know I have to root. I have tried simply re-rooting, uninstalling SU (which can't be done), and reading countless forums. If anyone would be willing to help, please do! I'd like to re- root! I'm a little frustrated. :-/

Do you still have CWM? IF so reflash superuser.zip

I follow the - RUN ME - root+cwm+ patch+ stock, have tried every listed option and they've all ended with it saying I was now rooted, but I'm not, lol. The first root was so easy! :(

Okay shut your phone off hold the volume up and power button until it boots up if you see Clockwork Mod menu then you still have cwm installed and if you do make sure superuser.zip is on your sd and install that zip from sd

If you still have the su binary it might be as easy as downloading the Superuser app and forcing it to "update" your binary to fix permissions and whatnot.
