Root [Boost Mobile] Help- GPS Only turns on when Maps is open.

This is probably a good thing to most people but I live in a sketchy neighborhood and I need my gps to always stay active in case someone steals my phone I can locate them through avast anti theft. By the way what's the best anti theft app?

I believe that you will need an app that keeps the GPS on. Try something like "GPS Test".

Those apps have permission to enable the gps so you don't need it on all the time. Just install your favorite one and set it up and you are good to go.

Having the GPS constantly tracking you would kill your battery.

GPS is on, its just not in use unless called on.

I think he/she has the app, just confused a little bit about whether the GPS is actually on or not.

I tested it before I posted it definitely doesn't turn on by remote.

Google maps is the only app that activates my gps when it's on. I can't get my location in my bus tracker either
