Ok So I have used the absm tool by mercury to make the modified logo.bmp and now I am lost. I saw he said I am supposed to make it with the traditional method in android kitchen but I don't see an option for splash.img in the kitchen. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The method I posted was to change the boot image, not the splash image. But no worries! There's a .zip Shinru made to flash a splash image to the appropriate place (mmcblk0p14 I believe) after it's made. I'll post it when I get home tonight. Just substitute your image in it for the one he includes and flash.
