Root [Boost Mobile] how to root?

The proper way:

Find an exploit for your particular phone. Use that exploit to gain temoprary root. Using adb, push su to /system/bin. Also install a busybox and a Superuser app (like SuperSU.)

The way most people do it:

Find a one-click root program for your phone. Run it. This roots your phone and, depending on the program, may do other things to the phone, or not clean up afteritself, so that when you unroot to install an update it won't install.

There are easier ways depending on the device....

Just to make sure and to avoid any bricks, I'd like to confirm that you are on the Boost Mobile ZTE Warp N860 since you are posting in this sub-forum, correct?

Root methods depend on the device... one of the easiest methods before was a command prompt menu to root and install custom recovery by SnakeX, whereas now the easiest method is using a flashable zip. But this only applies to the ZTE Warp N860. On my S3, the easiest method is using Odin and flashing a custom recovery and then a rom, because the easyroot zips don't work on the S3. So before we can help you out or point you in the right direction, we need to know what your device is :)
