i didnt expect no replies but does everybodys phone look like this? these two menus all i need is a simple yes or no

You'll have better luck if you provide more information. This being the root section we're all running different roms so our menus all look different. What rom are you on? What version? The quick answer is no. More info will get a better answer ;)

well basically im running 4.3 rooted using the mk5 rom not sure if odexed or deoxed(i installed it long ago), so do you have the hotspot? if so i would like to know what rom your running

All of the major Sprint TouchWiz and AOSP based ROMs have working hotspots. If you go with TouchWiz, I suggest MOAR, Wicked Sensations, or Wicked Project-X. If you want to go with AOSP, I suggest Liquidsmooth or AICP. Carbon, CM11, and Beanstalk are also good. It's been awhile since I've ran them though. They had some issues which may have been fixed by now. Maybe some of the users running them can chime in and verify they have fixed the issues. Liquidsmooth and AICP are a definite go.

I'm running SlimKat. Issue free. Everything working perfectly. Including hot spot.

I decided to install liquidsmooth and it runs very well to my liking, thanks everyone for helping me out I really like having kitkat now. I also have a hotspot that works out too.

You've chosen a great ROM. Many of the S3 members in this section are running Liquidsmooth right now. It's what I'm running. Just remember that it is a nightly so the ROM updates on a frequent basis.

You mentioned in the OP that it's been awhile since you've been in here. Welcome back! :) If you have anymore questions or concerns, let us know. There's usually some one in here that can help you out. If not, wait a bit. It doesn't take very long for questions such as yours to be answered. ;)

i got every thing working but i noticed something strange about this process called com.google.chrome.sand taking a nice chunk out of my battery life, so i disabled chrome and it works fine but i would like to use chrome and thanks

How do I get wifi tethering working in slim kat?

Is it built in? Do I need an add on app?

What are the settings?

Didn't notice a shortcut for it. Maybe it appears if I enable it? WiFi tether router happens to work also. If it has any issues though might try the built in one.

Built in works. You can add shortcuts in settings.
