Root [Boost Mobile] Need help putting stock rom back on ztewarp

Lunatrix

Newbie
well i had the CyanoGenMod jellybean 4.1.2 but its just too unstable for my everyday use. so i need to flash back to the stock rom.

before i even went to the jellybean rom i made a backup through CWM and put it on my desktop. but it says when i go to restore a backup file in ROMManager that the MD5 File is missing? am i doing something wrong? please respond. thank you.

Do you have a nandroid backup on ur SD card? Boot into recovery and restore it. Don't use rommanager.

If not, search the All Things Root Guide. Should be a flashable stock rom in there. Or just download and flash a different rom. Be sure to wipe data, dalvik and all that good stuff!

If your not sure how to boot into recovery, volume up and power at the same time until you see the tophat.

i was able to find a post where i found the stock rom for the ZTE Warp (http://androidforums.com/boost-mobi...t/521024-return-stock-cwm-updated-4-11-a.html) currently flashing to it as we speak hopefully it works or i am in trouble

I don't think rom manager works properly on our phones. The online nandroid backup works though after installing the onandroid script

i didnt catch what nandroid is when i was rooting and installing a different rom. probably not the smartest idea. but i got the stock rom back on my phone with no problems. the only problem i had with jellybean for the warp was it would just hang. i use instagram, twitter, text messages, browsing and the phone too regularly to have such an unstable phone :/ i will keep checking on the jellybean though every now and then because i loved the rom. the new sounds, even how it looked but i need the stability before cosmetics :p

A nandroid is basically a copy of your OS and everything on your phone, apps, widgets, contacts, messages. When you first get into recovery its a few up from the bottom. VERY GOOD idea to always make a backup b4 you flash a rom. AND always keep it on your SD card so you can get to it in case poo hits the fan! Once you get used to flashing roms it becomes another step. Takes a few minutes but so worth it when you run into trouble. Welcome to the forums and enjoy your rooted device!!

Its a TOTAL backup basically. Every last aspect of the phone is restored in a nandroid. Always smart to keep one in a place where you can easily access it when necessary.

Ya I run n00b its a great rom in my opinion plus you can OC up to 1.8ghz. But it is recommended not to OC over 1.6 for a daily driver, in my opinion.
