Root [Boost Mobile] Output to tv

I know its ben discussed before but maybe now that things are picking up for our phone could we do a usb output to watch things off our phones

My roommate and I were just discussing this the other day. He's an HTC Evo user, and for one of the two he's had (Evo 4G or Evo 3D, I can't remember) HTC made a cable that connected to the phone's USB (charging) port and had an HDMI connector on the other end.

I've seen a setting in the system files that goes something like supports_HDMI = false in our Warps.

Could HDMI output be as simple as a software hack? I couldn't say, but the possibilities are certainly interesting.
 
We don't have the right scaling hardware. I looked in to this a long time ago.
