Root [Boost Mobile] [Q] Increase in-call volume ?

Is there a way to increase the in-call volume? I'm referring to the volume at which I hear the other person, and through the regular ear speaker location. All if the apps I've seen so far will only boost the volume A). When using speaker phone or playing music through the speaker, B). When using a headset or other line-out connection, or C). Raise the volume at which the other person can hear me. Unfortunately none of those options suit my needs. With my in-call volume at maximum I can barely hear anything if I'm in a moderately loud outdoor environment, and speaker phone isn't always desirable.

Are you asking for how to boost the already maxed in-call volume, or simply how to turn it up? Don't take this as a slight to your intelligence if this isn't what you meant, but using the volume rocker during a call is an easy way to turn it up...but otherwise, idk...

Everybody is so concerned about performance. I know the speaker is probably sh-t, but is there any way to increase the volume. I agree 100%. i CAN'T HEAR A FRIGGING THING! I use my stereo for the music, so that part doesn't bother me. It's the phone speaker!!!!!!!! I love my phone, and I appreciate everything that has been done to it! TURN IT UP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Volume+ doesn't boost earpiece. There's gotta be a way to boost it without blowing it out....

We're going to need a few devs, 50 Warps, an app to check the sound level of the earpiece so we can see whether its louder or softer, time, patience, and 3 zebras.

Lol. But seriously......

I seriously wish PattF were still here, Patt could've helped a LOT on this... best sound EVER on any rom I've tried with ANY phone I've had whether it was my phone or a friends... unless we analyzed a copy to kinda reverse engineer it and see how it was done??? Can we do that?

"Got it. But what are the zebras for?"

"In case we get hungry!"

One of the lib files contains the volume, the volume can be increased by changing the number, dunno which file it is but it was done in the Icon rom.

Thanks Brother, so...... How , when & where do we do this. I'm a half deaf carpenter, and this is my ONLY COMPLAINT about this phone! Tell me how to change it! If I blow the speaker, I'll just buy another WARP!!!!!!!! C'mon people TURN IT UP for a brother!

Search play store for earpiece should be the top result it works for me and I'm deaf in one ear partially in the other lol

I'll start looking at my mms.apk and see what I can find in regards to font size...

CTmod's mms.apk has an option to change the font size... but it uses alot of AOSP code doesn't it?

Just tried the App and it works for sure. WOW! I will finally be able to hear people when it's loud outside. Cool features in the App as well.

Boosting the sound doesn't require installing a whole rom all over again... there are apps on the play store, and in my roms case, I've changed the audio engine to better ones. In fact I think mine uses some of the same elements as WCS??

Actually, I noticed a definite increase in the In Call Volume on "7". Works good bro! From a deaf A** carpenter!
