Ok so i am new to the s3 but i do have experience with samsung phones and odin. I am trting to install cm11 4.4.4 on my new s3 and i am getting no signal or data. I have philz cwm and have the nov snapshot build of cm11 4.4.4 on my sd card. I tried installing then flashing gapps and then the lte fix after restarting and everything works minus service and data. If someone can help me out that would be great. Im thinking i need a different modem? Btw my boost s3 is running build number kot4ah 4.4.2 i believe.

Btw im not an idiot i use to build kanged roms but i thought if someone could just be a bit helpful i can save some time and maybe someone elses time.

Can you post your model number (from Settings > More > About Device)? I have a theory on what your issue may be but I need to know the model number to confirm it

Sph L710t something i thought was weird though was the hardware version is l710t.03 the .03 seems outta place.

Then yeah, my suspicion was right. It's a radio issue that is easily fixable:

L710 radios DO NOT WORK with the L710T. If you flash a Non-T Radio, follow the guide below:
If your radio gets fragged by a non-T, do not fret. We have a way to get you back to L710TVPU0ANF4.
Code:
1) Download this file: https://www.androidfilehost.com/?fid=23681161096070687
2) Reboot to PhilZ
3) Install the .zip
4) Reboot normally
5) Profit!
All thanks for this radio fix go to wykydtron.

These little tid-bits being posted to the world, I hope I have helped someone out there.

I tried that fix and still no dice. The rom works flawlessly but just no cell connection or data. I saw a post about some sort for programing that needed to happen? Can some one shed some light about this. This phone is great saying as it has so much dev support but there so much info its alittle hard to get a clear cut tutorial.

Yeah, I went to test myself and the radio zip in the post I quoted previously only seems to extract the file to sdcard. I'm gonna reflash to stock then reflash PhilZ and try again (and actually remember to make a backup this time around)

So I just did a custom backup of just the modem then restored and still no dice. So this problem has to do with more then just the modem.

I'm thinking maybe that lte fix doesn't do the job with this modem (just a wild guess) guess its time to reinstall notepad++. And I was hoping this wouldn't be a pain to use this silky smooth cm build.
i use the APN fix on the NF4 bootloader/modem and it works lol and the only AOSP roms that i tried are OctoL and Liquid Smooth v4 which are both Lollipop roms that are made for this device.....just OctoL is still a preview....and the APN fix works on both...

In that case, maybe it's something to do with CM11 or something we're both doing wrong
