Boost Mobile Store

Does anyone know when this phone is going to come out to the separate retail stores that specialize in only Boost and Virgin Mobile? Would really like to give some business to my local store for a gift for a friend even though I already purchased mine from RS :p. Any information is appreciated.

It's already at 3 targets around me in Connecticut. Haven't seen it at walmart. Those are big corporations tho, I have no idea about the lil guys lol

It seems like it's been released to only a very limited number of retailers & suppliers. I am waiting for Amazon to get it, as I want to use my gift card balance. Even on Ebay, there have not been that many listings for the Evo since it was released. That's the main reason I think only a few suppliers have it, since if there was a big supply there would be a lot of Ebay listings.

Hmm.. that's interesting I would've thought that their own stores would've gotten them first.

I believe that all (?) of the VM and Boost retailers are independent dealers, not corporate owned stores. I would expect all the major retailers who are responsible for the bulk of sales (Radio Shack, Target, Best Buy, Walmart) to be supplied first.

Oh, that would make sense.

I have 6 Boost Mobile/Virgin Mobile stores in my zip code. The farthest one being 8 miles away. I wonder if a single one of them has this phone.

I wouldn't delay buying an Evo V 4G just because the independents don't stock them yet.

The Boost / VM independent dealers always seem "misinformed" when it comes to what their providers offer. Several years ago I was shopping for a Boost Incognito and the independent dealers wanted full retail saying stuff like it was the "latest and greatest" out there... and at the same time Best Buy was lowering the price via sales all the time and had it for about half of retail. The dealer also told me it could only be activated on a smartphone plan when, in reality, "pay as you go" worked just fine.

Exaclty! I was told by a Boost Mobile Manager that the HTC Evo is only available from Boost Mobile. When I showed him my device he was perplexed. It came to a shock that the HTC Evo V is available on Virgin Mobile.

For some reason though, he wanted to push the HTC Evo Design on telling how great it is and so, when in reality I get the exact same thing plus the 3D camera.

Not the exact. Evo Design is single cored and Evo V's are dual cored.
