on a off topic note........ the gs3 supports video calling and i was just wondering if anyone is able to use this option...as the video icon is missing from the dialer on my phone

Check this post out the boost build worked on my virgin mobile with APN fix.Camera still no but snap cam works fine.Also need to use a rotation app.

I know huh! It would seem that there should be more activity here. Crap the forum for my old ZTE AWE was far more active. There is a great dev over there named phenomx4. He has ported over a ton of great ROMS for that phone. I wish we could recruit him.

There might not be a ton of new development, this phone is getting pretty old. It had a great run though.

It may be pretty old but it has new life for prepaid. I paid $80 for mine on black Friday. None of the other phones with its specs compare even at $200. So it will be around for awhile.

But most developers don't seem to be on prepaid and have moved on to other phones is all I meant. I love this phone. But I don't expect a ton more new development. I hope I'm wrong.

You are most likely right. But check out the ZTE AWE thread on this site. It only takes one guy to do a lot of work. They have a ton of sweat ROMS there. All ports.

Bashing? Have you followed the last few posts? Someone commented that development used to boom on the s3, and now seems to have slowed. I said because it was getting older and some devs have moved on.

Were all whiners at some point just gets old,us gs3 spark users and non spark need to stick together.
Builds for our spark are just now really starting to take off be patient you guys are going to love what I'm testing.They will release it when all kinks are worked out.Hang in there ;-)

Nobody is whining about or "bashing" anything. How do you expect people to know that development is actually being done when nothing has been said or released yet?

Actually if you read threw this post http://androidforums.com/threads/sph-l710t-stock-rooted-flashable-rom.888243/ is a team working on stuff.There is more.They dont want to get anyones hopes up and have a bum build.If they realease a build where everything doesnt work then there will be all kinds of people complaining that this wont work that wont work.It takes time.
And also there was whining that this phone is dead this phone here has all kinds of developing.Who cares we are for the GS3.The way i see it sit back and keep your panties on its coming,if not stick with a touch wiz rom until then.

Yeah, one team working on a project, and zero updates. There doesn't need to be a release for us to know that there's development happening, but we do need an occasional "hey guys we're making progress".
There is otherwise no way of knowing if anything is being developed.
Thanks for this update! Can't understand why Samsung wouldn't want to put 5.x on this phone. It runs so much more smooth than anything else. I can live with the rotation issue until it's (hopefully) resolved. Everything else with this release works flawlessly!

Samsung won't do it because this phone is over 2 yrs old. But luckily we have devs that keep on pushing.
I was wrong! LiquidSmooth actually runs GREAT, except I can't make any phone calls. I can't seem to find anything on anyone having issues with their phone number / sim provisioning / imei / inability to make any voice calls. I went from stock TW on my L710T to the ROM that a p0sSuM72 here suggested from LiquidSmooth which happens to be 5.0.2. I get data but no voice cabability. Does anyone know how to solve this? There are a few people saying that the CDMA Subscription needs updated (which Lollipop has no such setting anymore under Mobile Carrier settings) and needing to reprovision the SIM card to be 'sync'd with your imei'.
I'm really at a loss on this one. Hopefully someone can help!

You may need to flash the apn fix. Or go back to your TouchWiz rom update your profile and all that stuff then flash back to the new ROM.
