I would like to know how to go about finding more compatible Roms for are gs3. How does it work? I know for sure BACKUP FIRST! Do we just go to the Sprint thread and flash Roms and see what works and if it does make a thread about the ROM? Or is there another process that I'm missing?

That or Google d2lte ROMs and see what pops up. D2lte are unified version's of AOSP based ROMs. Just keep in mind that AOSP based ROMs usually have a weaker signal than TouchWiz ROMs. If you're in a great signal area then you need not worry about it.

As far as Sprint TouchWiz ROMs, I haven't found one yet that we couldn't run.

I feel it's pretty much safe to say that we can run 99.9% of the Sprint ROMs. If it's a Sprint AOSP based ROM and there isn't a d2lte version available then you will have to manually go in and remove the asserts.

And you're right...... rule #1 is to make a Nandroid before flashing anything. :D

One thing that you need to keep in mind....... watch out for modem specific ROMs. There are a few out there that will not run on the new NDC/ND8 modem. Also, do not attempt to flash one of the older modems if you are running the 4.4.2. KK bootloader. You will brick your phone!! That being said, happy flashing!! :D
