Root [Boost Mobile] We need a dev

At least one please lol I'm no Dev and there are plenty of Roms we can't fully use because either

We can't flash it(idk what's up with that)

We loose 3g and 4g

Or the 3g and 4g kinda works but the camera doesn't work

I believe these to be simple problems I think the 3g and 4g and camera may be in the kernel but I don't know how to mod a asop kernel to make it work for us and we don't have the stock tw kernal yet so we can't flash that over tw roms
Any devs reading this please help



Got a little figured out if you want to flash the goodness ROM you'll only have 3g and you need to switch the network to CDMA

Most roms for the twin sprint GS3 version works.

The issue with 3g/4g signal was a quick fix by getting your MSL and changing your APN settings.

I am currently using one of the Goodness Roms running on 4.1.2. Roms running on 4.2.2 seem to have issues running the MSL edit function possibly has been disabled.

I'm pretty sure it's not that's why I said we need a dev because I'm sure other things don't work also for example maybe the gps doesn't work..... and you think you could post a flashable zip with our apn and how would I get my msl
We still can't flash some roms we get an error and it abortions the installation

You can get youre msl by using playstore app "get my msl". Run it....itll fail. Then go to youre dialer hit ##3282#......punch in any 6 numbers.....itll fail... then run the app again and it should bring it up. I agree we need a dev....i flashed wicked sensations rom......ran fine but only 3g worked but you had to change the network mode to cdma. Also the hidden menu apk. on the boost stock rom is missing the multimedia proxy settings. I tried to replace the stock one with another but that didnt work either. Plus i hate stock roms. Miss all the custom things they have.....but id love to see a custom rom with everthing working.

All features work gps, mms, data 4gLTE, etc. I agree that some roms are a hit and miss.(Roms Unflashable) The rom that i quoted I use as my everyday rom. Just get your msl by calling boost as i did. The funny thing was when i called boost and asked for it the person asked if i was going to use a custom rom. She seemed into it lol. Once, you get your msl you can use the ##3282# feature to change your settings. You can use google to get the rights settings.(Boost Apn settings) If anything other questions feel free to ask and help as best i can.

How did you change your apn
 
Theyll give it to you but in a custom rom from sprint it wont let you change it,even with your msl,it just brings up sprint apns,and you cant get in to those to change it to the boost setting. I know what the settings are but it wont let you put it in. here are the settings......mmsc http://mm.myboostmobile.com.......mms proxy....68.28.31.7......mms port.....80......mcc....311..mnc....870 and the apn name is n.boost.ispsn.
 
I couldnt change the 4g apn,when i did my apn restore it just gave me back my mms. 3g data always worked without changing it.

So since I have the setting as the guy above me is wondering how did you change your apn to boost instead if sprint
 
We need a epst with it built in,sprint rom has the lte apns locked up,itll let you view them just not change them. A custom rom with it built in would be great or unless someone knows a trick or use cdma workshop.

Youre right,and theres no way so far as i can can see to implement it into the custom sprint rom for now. Except for a new build.
Anyone with Ideas?
 
Got my boost s3 today and it sucks that we can't use many of these roms. 4g doesn't seem to work. Hopefully we get a dev to work on the boost version sometime soon!

I hope so man and yeah it really does suck because where paying for 4g and I want to be able to use it that's the only reason I'm still on stock

I'm sure it would help but no one seems tob know how or has time we don't even have the stock zip or kernel that I been asking for if someone just makes it you can let me know e-mail it to me and ill put it on dropbox if uploading is an problem
