Root [Boost Mobile] Working ROMS/MODS/KERNELS/MODEMS/ECT for the Boost S3

im back on dirty because i softbricked today i was messing with boot animations and i made this really cool one, i installed it, it worked. but it wasnt long enough, not enough loops so at the end it would be a blank screen till it booted all the way up, so i opened the zip not thinking and added loops but i did it in winrar not 7zip. installed then my phone would turn on but the screen wouldnt i could double tap home and get s voice to respond but no screen, my mistake with all the flashing ive been doing didnt have a recent backup of moar so i just said hell with it time to go back to dirty. moral of the story backup backup backup....lol

I couldn't agree more. Those backups come in handy. It's also really nice having Odin. I messed up several times on my Prevail where Odin saved my butt.

For the past few days I've been making a backup before flashing any mod that didn't have a zip for reversing it. Wicked Sensations has quite a few undo zips in the Kuban Updater thankfully. For those new mods that are being released in the thread itself, I've been making a backup before flashing them just in case I end up not liking it. It beats the heck out of doing a total re-install. It also gives me a safety net in case the flash goes bad. :D

I make mistakes like you made usually when I've been up for a long time and am tired. I made several a few weeks ago. Nothing near a soft brick thankfully . Just stupid stuff like getting ready to flash something new and doing a factory reset, cache and Dalvik wipe before making my backup Lmao! Yeah, I know. That's bad man. :sly:
 
Has any body been able to get 4g working on any of the cm roms? I can't seem to get it to work. What did you do. I followed the op

There is no profile or PRL update in CM ROM settings.

You need to do as Smith said and disable LTE. Switch it to CDMA. That should give you 3g data. Settings / More settings / Mobile networks / Network mode.

Edit: you need to have done the apn fix with the app APN BACKUP AND RESTORE also.
 
Just a heads up people. I've been over at XDA and these top notch Sprint TW ROMs are getting ready to update. One of the guys just posted his update in the Wicked Sensations thread. Won't be long now.

I think you are in the wrong area, this is for boost mobile samsung galaxy s3... but a factory reset will make everything as normal as you got it out of the box, you'll still probably have root though.
 
Guys, I've seen links to the Sprint update. Do yourself a favor and don't even think about messing with it unless you want a phone with no recovery, no root, no way to flash a custom ROM and no way to switch back to 4.1.2.

That's right, you'll be STUCK LIKE CHUCK! :D
 
This whole Knox thing is causing some problems in the 4.3 update. If you want to keep root and have tether, that is. It will be figured out, of course, but I would be cautious about it for now. Who knows when Boost will get it? At least we can check out the progress in the Virgin Mobile Section. How well does that new modem operate?
