Root [Boost Mobile] YouTube play back

Rally 517

Android Expert
Something I just notice. When I'm looking at YouTube the app. I try to watch in full screen mode and it plays upside down. Is there a fix

What ROM are you running? I remember reading that issue in one of the many threads I've read through.

EDIT: Have you tried removing YouTube and re downloading from PLay?

Weird. I just checked it and it's working fine for me on MOAR.

I'll do some digging around and see if I can find anything. Have you searched the Sprint section here and at XDA to see if there's anything about this happening? I know for a fact I've read about it somewhere when going through threads for the S3.

Nope. Watching in front of me on my desk as I type and it's working perfectly.

Edit: Been doing some reading and I've found a few people with the same issue. Factory resets have been advised to fix it.

Is it only with YouTube? How about with your stock video player? How about with your internet browser?

Are they all working properly?

Found this. Screen Auto Rotate in Wrong Direction - xda-developers

A few have fixed the issue by flashing a kernel, factory resets, etc. There are several options in here. The thing here is most of the people in this thread are having the issue with the phone itself and not just an app.

I know you are probably not doing this but I've got to ask anyways... are you restoring any YouTube data with an app like Titanium or anything?

I'm still digging. I won't make another post, I'll just EDIT this one and add whatever I else I find. I know it sux but you may end up needing a full wipe.

What's REALLY bugging me is I know I've seen this issue before and a fix but I don't remember where. lol

Success! !! I went back to stock and re did every thing. But I load data from tb this time everything works. Thanks for your help biker. Youalways have been an advocate for these forums. I remember seeing you and your roms from the prevail days.

Stock kernel = stock boot.IMG
Advanced restore from cwm/TWRP and select only boot.IMG from your first backup, this would give you stock kernel.
